I recently purchased a VW Golf R, as something of a dream car for myself; but it wouldn't have been possible without the quality of the guys at Ravenswood Performance.

After an honest chat on the phone, James honoured my appointment to view the car despite having an interested party wanting to come earlier; and even after some trouble securing the funds, James' open and dependable line of communication and honest nature allowed both parties to feel secure throughout the entire process. This is a company that values transparency and cool cars, and it is reflected in the way they conduct business.

A decent test drive route allows you to experience the car you want to buy in a few different aspects, with a town element leading to an open ring road - these guys want you to get to know exactly what car you're buying, which only serves to bolster the security you feel when dealing with them. Not to mention their lovely garage full of awesome cars to look at in the meantime!

James and the team (special mention to Luke, who was a delight when handing over the car while James was unavailable) are patient, honest and knowledgeable, they clearly love what they do, and love providing an amazing service while they do it!

We’d been looking for a Mini Clubman for some months when we discovered Ravenswood Performance Cars. They had a superb Clubman in stock which ticked all the boxes. Fabulous condition, low mileage, amazing spec and at a competitive price. We popped up to see it and met Ravenswood's owner, James, who had the car ready for us and looking immaculate. After a test drive for both of us we were hooked and, after a very pleasant chat in James’s office, we struck a deal which we were all happy with. I must say that over the 40+ years that we’ve been buying cars this was one of the most pleasant purchases made. James is very knowledgable, honest and reliable and his stock of cars is of a very high standard. He had also pointed out a few small details that needed correcting on ours which we hadn’t spotted and had them sorted before we collected the car. He handled the whole process very efficiently and kept in touch with us throughout. We can both highly recommend Ravenswood and wish James well at his new premises in Burgess Hill. He’ll be the first person we contact for our next purchase no doubt.

Just collected a Porsche Cayman from Ravenswood Performance. I have bought a lot of cars, Porsche, Lexus, BMW and every time the experience left me somewhat disappointed. It was very refreshing to deal with James. Totally transparent , efficient but not rushed during test drive or inspection of car and documents. All questions answered and helpful advice offered. Nice guy to deal with, they only sell top of the range so buy with confidence, I bought a car from them last week and have had no problems with it, I travelled 2h to see the car but when I sa their reviews and what kind of cars they sell, I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed.

From start to finish they were professional, attentive and reliable. A test drive was organised quickly and a lot of information given to help me make a decision. I never felt pushed or on a time limit, which I often find is the case at more generic car showrooms. Ravenswood went above and beyond in every respect. I have just purchased my new car (new second hand car) from Ravenswood Performance cars, what a pleasure great deal on part ex and on my new VW Touareg. Cars are so well presented in there spotless showrooms, the finance was made easy and any work that had to be done on the car was done in fact above and beyond what I expected so thank you to James and his crew for I think the best presented car I have ever brought. The service was second to none and I would recommend Ravenswood 100% best of luck for the future.

Great car from even better people. Genuinely couldn't have wished for a better buying experience than what the guys at Ravenswood provided. After finishing work myself on a Saturday afternoon I gave them a call about a car I'd been trying to find for months. Although James wasn't supposed to be in the showroom that day as I was genuinely interested (with my own very tight work schedule) within an hour he'd arrived to show me the car and take it on a test drive. My circumstances were very different to the average buyer but James and Luke couldn't have been any more accommodating. Too many things to list on here but anything that needed to be done was quite simply actioned with professionalism, patience and friendliness (even including taxing it on the first of the month just after midnight!) . The car itself was well sourced and presented and nothing at all was too much trouble. I just know if anything is needed aftersales wise it will be dealt with using the same fuss-free professionalism. Having used main dealers before many times with various experiences (good and bad!) I wouldn't hesitate in using Ravenswood again in the future and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a special car presented and sold in the way it deserves.

Top Class service from James
James was top class from start to finish. Gave me a good value on my part ex, and a good deal on his S3. As i was travelling from up north James was more than happy to do an evening collection and handover. He even put a full tank in the car to make my journey back stress free. Overall my experience was 10/10 and would definitely recommend to anyone.

The best performance garage
James was a pleasure to buy from. His selection of cars is carefully curated and well presented and his and Luke’s knowledge of every car in stock was superb. They gave us plenty of time without pressure and helped us make a difficult choice (given all their tempting offerings). I’d highly recommend and will happily buy or sell through them again.
